I crocheted two pouches for storing crochet small tools.
You can crochet both the needle case and the marker case using just one mini ball of Opal yarn.

The pattern includes instructions for creating both of these items.

For the needle case, I revisited a pattern I had designed previously for a workshop.

The blue, gray, and pink ones in the images below are past creations, and they are slightly larger than the Opal pieces because they are made with 100% wool yarn of about sport weight.

Since I hadn't crocheted this in a while, I wondered if there were any improvements to be made and experimented with variations while exploring, but in the end, I realized that the original design was the best.

The piece's standout feature lies in its unique textured crochet stitch pattern with a delightful raised and bumpy texture.
I also have instructional videos on the crochet stitch pattern used in this project, so please feel free to use them as a reference.
You should be able to get the hang of it quickly and crochet at a good pace.

The process of creating the needle insertion part involves hand-sewing with felt, making it a project that includes a bit of sewing in addition to crochet (no sewing machine required).

I've included reference designs for stitching patterns in the pattern, so please use them as a guide while also letting your creativity flow when adding stitches.

The pattern instructions are designed to allow you to crochet both items using an Opal mini ball, but if you have extra yarn (or if you want to accommodate longer yarn needles, for example), you can adjust the size as desired, so feel free to customize.

You can also customize it to your liking by opting for a cord that wraps around the pouch and secures it, instead of the button loop.

Although these are small projects, I hope you enjoy crafting during your leisure time.

As they are tools for your crochet work, I'm sure you'll develop a special attachment to them even after they're completed.
Creating them as gifts for fellow crochet enthusiasts could also be an exciting endeavor.

Please find your preferred colors and give crocheting a try!
