"Hishimochi and hina dolls" Crochet Pattern
I crocheted the hina dolls.
The hishimochi is a storage box, so you can put it away as soon as the festival is over.
The height of the hishimochi is about the same as the height of the hina dolls, so if you put the hishimochi in the background, you can create a background with a lot of Hinamatsuri feeling.
To tell the truth, this hishimochi box was not easy, so I went through a lot of trial and error, but don't worry, it's based on single crochet, and there are no complicated techniques.
Hishimochi is a work that requires a steam iron because the crocheted fabric swells during crocheting.
The crocheted fabric will settle when the steam iron is floated and the steam is applied.
I think this is a work where the coloring of the yarn is quite effective.
As soon as I decided to crochet this, I went to a craft store and looked for yarn while comparing colors.
I wondered if I could find a lot of pink and greenery wool, and it was surprisingly small.
And I found these three colors in Puppy's British Fine yarn, which I love and use often!
The color of hishimochi looks very delicious, and the green color is especially cute with a rustic texture that looks like mugwort.
Using the same British fine, I tried to make a prototype with an orthodox Hina doll color.
If you only crochet the hina dolls, this color combination will also create an atmosphere.
The crochet method is the same, so I'll post it below as a reference work.
In the chart, the yarn used for the Hishimochi color is listed, but the color number used for the Hina doll color is also listed at the bottom of the page.
The hina dolls are stuffed with polycotton, but I think you can use leftover wool instead of polycotton.
It's palm-sized and compact, so if you're only making hina dolls, you can complete it in a short time.
How about a springtime decoration in a corner of your room?
It's nice to crochet carefully and decorate it every year.
