I crocheted a summer-yarn bag that’s enjoyable to assemble.
The parts come together smoothly without any guesswork, so finishing is a pleasant process in itself.
The pattern includes charts for two variations shown in the images below.
One is a handbag style with shorter handles and a wider base, and the other is a shoulder bag style with longer handles and a narrower base.
In addition to these two variations, you can also adjust the size to your preference. The pattern provides notes on how to make such modifications.
Please enjoy making it in the size and style that best suit your needs or the yarn you have on hand.

Both samples shown here are made with Hamanaka Eco Andaria.
Right after you finish crocheting the parts, the fabric is wavy. But once you pin them out and steam-block by hovering the iron above the fabric, letting only the steam reach it, the pieces settle beautifully—it was truly the best choice of yarn.
The natural shade used for the shoulder style has its own timeless charm, while the metallic color gives off a sophisticated summer look.
With such a wide range of colors available, you may find yourself wanting to make several in different shades.
Although this design uses a stitch pattern, it is based on basic crochet techniques, so no unusual methods are required.
It’s very lightweight with minimal transparency, so you’ll surely find plenty of occasions to use it.
Take it along on your summer outings!
