This is a beret of dc shell that I've always wanted to shape. Among the crochet, the dc shell pattern is very popular, isn't it? I love it too.
I lost the memo when I thought about it halfway, and I interrupted it, but I found the memo in the notebook I pulled out after a long time! After scrutinizing while trying and crocheting again, it settled down to this shape safely. After all, the dc shell pattern is fun to crochet.
I crochet many pieces before making a recipe, and the yarn that is the most suitable is listed as the yarn to be used. It was interesting that the crocheted fabric was gradually nearing completion, so I had the impression that I was able to crochet it relatively quickly.
Isn't it good to crochet a beret with summer yarn? I thought, I tried crocheting with summer yarn too. The crochet pattern also includes a size arrangement method when using summer yarn, which is slightly thinner than the winter yarn of the main work. Please also refer to it when adjusting the size to a larger size. In addition, the size-arranged summer yarn version has a slightly different design and does not flatten, so I will put an image below.
Also, one of the pieces I tried knitting was smaller in size, so I asked a little model to wear it. I hope this will be helpful as an image when you wear it (By the way, the beret worn by the child model is black, and the blackish beret in the other images is charcoal gray, so these two are different works).

The moment I saw the photos, I knew I wanted to make this and got the yarn. I don’t usually wear hats myself, so I made it for my daughter instead. She said she would wear it if it was black, so I finished it in black and had her try it on. It was really fun to make and worked up very quickly.
I crocheted it a little larger with a relaxed, airy feel. It was very easy to work with and such an enjoyable project! I tried adding an accent using the same yarn as the top decoration. It feels like something I can use all year round, and I’m really looking forward to wearing it.

The rhythm of the pattern felt so comfortable, and I truly enjoyed every stitch. I used the recommended British Eroica yarn in off-white, and silk mohair yarn in brown. It’s a beautiful pattern where the texture really stands out. ♡
