A 2-way type crochet mitten that can be used with a hood on your fingertips.
I feel a little nostalgic that this design has been around since I was a child.
Even in this day and age where you want to use your smartphone while wearing gloves, mittens that you can point to are convenient.
For this mitten, I crocheted it with mixed color sock yarn that makes me happy just by looking at it.
I think it would be fresh to combine such a color with a chic winter outfit.
Sock yarn is convenient because it can be washed without hesitation if it gets dirty.
Two types of sock yarn were used for the sample work.
Monotone yarns are about the same gauge as Opal yarns.
The other yarn mixed with pink was a little thicker than that, so I crocheted it with fewer stitches per turn.
In the pattern, the monotone yarn is listed as the yarn used, and the chart, size, and number of stitches are based on this mitten.
It is an image of a mitten that is good to crochet with about Super Fine, Stock, Fingering yarn and a 2.50 mm crochet hook.
I have small hands (although the width is not particularly thin), so I crocheted it so that it would be slightly larger than my hand, referring to ready-made sizes.
Considering the balance with the thumb of the mitten, I don't expect to make a large size arrangement, but the pattern also includes a method for size adjustment (if you want to make it larger, adjust with yarn and crochet hook).
I hope that you will refer to them.
You can also use it as a hand warmer without the hood.
I have also included the size arrangement for hand warmer gloves, so please try crocheting to your liking!
Hand warmer gloves are better for size adjustment.
The work in the image below is a prototype of Puppy's British Fine.
This is the perfect size hand warmer gloves type for me. For your reference!
I used "Foundation Single Crochet (FSC)" for this work, but you can crochet other than that using basic crochet methods.
There is a video explanation on the Ronique website about how to make a Foundation Single Crochet (FSC), so please refer to it.

Wami's "Hooded Mittens"
This was my first time crocheting mittens. ♪
I felt such a sense of relief when I finally finished them.
In the pattern, they were made with a very cute sock yarn, but I felt that yarn might be a bit too fine and challenging for me. So instead, I used ROWAN Felted Tweed, which was used in another pattern, kept the same 4/0 hook, and reduced the foundation to 60 stitches.
Since I didn’t follow the chart exactly, there were moments when I had to stop and think, wondering if what I was doing was right. But once the pattern started to emerge, it became really fun to crochet.
I was also very happy that the size turned out just right.
I’m looking forward to enjoying more of your wonderful patterns in the future.
Thank you very much!
