"Flat Socks for Different Seasons" Crochet Pattern
"Flat Socks for Different Seasons" Crochet Pattern
I thought of ribbed socks that can be crocheted with both summer and winter yarns.
It is a work crocheted while imagining a silhouette like commercially available socks.
I have tried many different crocheting methods for socks, but I realized that there are some crocheting methods that I have never tried before, so it was a fresh experiment.
The dark green socks in the image are crocheted with 100% wool yarn, and the beige socks are crocheted with 100% cotton yarn.
It's a thick crocheted fabric, so it's comfortable to wear.
Both plump wool yarn and smooth cotton yarn have their own good qualities.
It doesn't adhere to your feet as well as other socks on the market, so I think it's suitable for room socks or layered wear.
Both the wool and cotton yarns are fine yarns with a relatively voluminous feel, and are crocheted with a 2.5mm(close to C-2) crochet hook.
In the pattern, C-2 is listed as the needle used.
Coincidentally, both yarns were about the same gauge.
The wool yarn is Hamanaka Olive Merino Fine, and the cotton yarn is Motohiro City Cotton 100.
Both yarns crocheted very comfortably.
Among the spring and summer yarns, there are loosely twisted yarns with a natural texture, but for these socks, tightly twisted yarns are recommended because they are easy to crochet.
Please use it as a reference when you actually pick up the yarn and buy it.
This sock can be arranged in size, so the explanation is written in the pattern.
In particular, I also write helpful advice for arranging sizes for ladies shoe sizes US7 to 8.5.
If you change the thickness of the yarn you use or apply an arrangement method, it may be possible to adjust a wider range of sizes.
There are some methods that are slightly different from normal crochet, but you can crochet with almost basic crochet techniques, not complicated patterns.
It's safe to count the number of stitches as you proceed so that you don't make a mistake.
For methods that are different from usual, the process is explained with images, so please refer to that.
Socks are practical and adorable items, so I want to crochet more different colors.
Choosing yarn for socks is also fun.
I would be happy if you could crochet with your favorite yarn regardless of the season!
